Bartender/Server (Part-Time)

Job:                 Bartender/ Server – Part Time

Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for serving guests in a friendly and courteous manner in both the outlets and at weddings and various other events. At events and weddings the bartender will be responsible for the setup and teardown of the bar, as well as keeping track of the liquor sales and any remaining inventory. When working in the outlet as a bartender you would take and prepare beverage orders from guests and servers. Servers issue menus and take orders from guests, inform kitchen staff of orders via Silverware Point of Sale System (POS), ensures liquid refreshment levels are maintained as required while adhering to “Serving It Right” policies, clean and reset tables, respond to guest requests as required and keeps guests satisfied throughout service and issues bill for services rendered and obtain appropriate documentation or cash necessary to ensure payment. You would have or obtain the ability to recommend food and wine parings. It would be required that you inform a supervisor of complaints and resolve situations speedily and in the best interests of the Resorts reputation. You would also receive, liquor and supply orders and put them where they belong, in an orderly fashion; keep supplies stocked and clean; engage in light cleaning duties in the restaurant area such as filling and wiping coffee pots, sugar, napkins and holders, straws, etc.

Qualifications: Candidates must have Grade 12 or have an acceptable combination of related experience, education and or training. The successful candidate will have experience providing excellent customer service and recent experience handling and balancing cash or monetary transactions. Preference may be given to candidates who possess bartending / serving experience.

Breakfast Server (Part-Time)

You would clean and reset tables, respond to guest requests as required and keeps guests satisfied throughout service and issues bill for services rendered and obtain appropriate documentation or cash necessary to ensure payment. You would keep supplies stocked and clean, including engaging in light cleaning duties in the restaurant area. It would be necessary to make sure that anything required for the next meal period is stocked including making certain that glass ware and silverware is polished so that hard water stains are eliminated. It would be required that you inform a supervisor of complaints and resolve situations speedily and in the best interests of the Resorts reputation.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will have experience providing excellent customer service and recent experience handling and balancing cash or monetary transactions. Preference may be given to candidates who possess serving experience.

Casino Cook (Full-Time)

Job:    Casino Cook – One Full Time

Job Purpose: This position would require you to work in the Casino Kitchen producing food that complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures. You would be responsible for the proper rotation and monitoring of stock as well as assisting with food orders and inventory. You would ensure compliance with food and kitchen related safety and health regulations. All ingredients and necessary components for menu items to be prepared would be organized at the beginning and end of your shift, making sure that the shift following yours would be properly prepped. Keeping the Kitchen and equipment clean would also be part of your responsibilities

Qualifications
Must have or have to ability to get Food Safe and Serving it Right Certificate. Previous cooking experience would be an advantage.

Casino F&B Relief Supervisor

Job:   Casino Food and Beverage Relief Supervisor

Department: Food and Beverage     

Job Purpose:

You would supervise and ensure Servers professionally serve food and beverage in Fred’s Saloon, on the Casino Gaming floor and catering functions, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction. You would trouble shoot and ensure guest satisfaction if a guest concern arises, communicating any problems that may occur and making sure any issues have the appropriate follow up. The position would require assistance in managerial functions such as beverage inventory counts, scheduling and payroll and the ability to offer solutions to make operations in the outlets run smoothly. You would coordinate closely with the Sales department to ensure special functions needs are met

Qualifications: Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience or an acceptable combination of related experience, education and/or training. A related Post Secondary diploma or certificate would be an advantage. Must have or be able to obtain a Serving it right and food safe certificate. Previous Casino experience would be an asset. Must be 19 years or older in order to work in the Casino

You would also receive store groceries, liquor and supply orders where they belong and in an orderly fashion; keep supplies stocked and clean; engage in light cleaning duties in the restaurant area such as filling and wiping coffee pots, sugar, napkins and holders, straws, drink and hotdog condiment trays etc. You would be required to obtain a basic knowledge of Racebook tracks (Off Track Betting) and teller machines.

Hotel Guest Service Agent (Relief)

Job: Hotel Guest Service Agent/Night Audit/Casino Guest Service – Relief

Job Purpose: In a highly professional and courteous manner you would be responsible for managing the check in process, the stay and check out process, as well as taking room reservations over the phone or in person. When taking room reservations you would be required to use a computer based reservations system. The Guest Service Agent provides information on the Resort, including Resort amenities, room amenities and services, available room rates and packages as well as information on the surrounding area.

You would be required to deal with guest concerns or issues or questions in a highly professional manner. You would perform basic accounting functions in regards to the guest’s folio, such as posting verifying and cash transactions. When working as the Night Auditor you would verify and balance daily charges for all departments to customer folios, master accounts and house accounts and makes corrections as necessary and perform cash reconciliation duties. You would verify accuracy of all postings and calculations then run computer to reset for the next day.

When working in the Casino you would be responsible for performing basic office functions such as; answering interoffice, local and long distance calls in a courteous manner; answering customer inquiries with respect and courtesy and direct calls to appropriate personnel and departments; making various promotional announcements using a public address system; responsible for processing Player’s Club applications accurately and entering Player’s Club information into the computer accurately and in a timely manner as well as the sale and redemption of lottery tickets.

Qualifications: Candidate must have Grade 12, prior front desk experience and accounting experience or an acceptable combination of related experience, education and or training. A related post-secondary diploma or certificate would be an asset.
