Banquet Server - Relief

Job: Banquet Server – Relief

Job Purpose: Under the general supervision of the Banquet Supervisor or Food and Beverage Manager or Supervisor, the Banquet Server provides fast, efficient and friendly service ensuring the correct setup of rooms and the timely serving of any refreshments or meal breaks. A high level of cleanliness and organization of banquet rooms, registration areas and service area is required. You would be responsible for reporting any deficiencies in equipment or level of supplies to the Banquet Captain or outlets Manager or Supervisor. A high level of customer service is required with an ability to problem solve in order to meet last minute changes or requirements of any function and or handle guest concerns. You would also be responsible for the turnover or tear down and clean up after functions.

Qualifications: Must be 16 years or older. Must have or the ability to obtain a serving it Right Certificate, a Food Safe certificate would be considered an asset. Prior serving experience would be an advantage.

Conditions of Employment: Must be able to endure frequent bending, lifting, stooping, standing and walking. Some heavy lifting and carrying of objects is required tools are provided for heavier items. Employees should be prepared to work in an indoor and outdoor climate with varying degrees of temperature. Must be flexible to work both evenings and morning shifts, holidays and weekends. Must be able to deal with challenging guests while following BC Liquor laws.

Casino Guest Services Representative - Full-Time

Job:  Casino Guest Services Representative Full Time
Sun 9:30-15:30, Mon 9:30-1530, Tues 17:15 – 0015 Wed 17:15 – 00:15, Sat 9:30 – 17:30

Job Purpose: The Guest Services Representative works to ensure all St. Eugene Golf Resort & Casino customers receive the utmost in excellent customer service by greeting and addressing any questions, comments, or concerns of the customer including assisting the guest services Supervisor/Manager with customer correspondence. This position is responsible for performing basic office functions such as; answering interoffice, local and long distance calls in a courteous manner; answering customer inquiries with respect and courtesy and direct calls to appropriate personnel and departments; making various promotional announcements using a public address system; responsible for processing Player’s Club applications accurately and entering Player’s Club information into the computer accurately and in a timely manner; explains Player’s Club rules, policies, promotions and special events to customers; be able to prepare written reports on incidents or discrepancies; handle all information acquired with a high level of confidentiality; reception and shipping and receiving packages; ensure that policies and procedures are followed for jack pot winners; responsible for all administration and preparation of the Casino portion of bus tours; carry out other duties as assigned by the Guest Services Supervisor.

Qualifications: Candidates must have Grade 12 or an acceptable combination of related experience, education and/or training. The successful candidate will have experience providing excellent customer service in person and over the telephone and recent experience handling and balancing cash or monetary transactions. Preference may be given to candidates who possess data entry experience. Must be 19 years of age in order to work in the Casino.

Cook (Casino) - Full-Time & Temporary (Maternity Leave) Full-Time

Job: Casino Cook – One Full Time – One Full Time Temporary (Maternity Leave)

Job Purpose: This position would require you to work in the Casino Kitchen producing food that complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures. You would be responsible for the proper rotation and monitoring of stock as well as assisting with food orders and inventory. You would ensure compliance with food and kitchen related safety and health regulations. All ingredients and necessary components for menu items to be prepared would be organized at the beginning and end of your shift, making sure that the shift following yours would be properly prepped. Keeping the Kitchen and equipment clean would also be part of your responsibilities.

Qualifications: Must have or have to ability to get Food Safe and Serving it Right Certificate. Previous cooking experience would be an advantage.

Dealer (Casino) - Full-Time

Job: Dealers – Full Time
Paid “dealer training” will be provided and will commence on November 3, 2014

Job Purpose: In this position you would be required to create and ensure a fun-filled, entertaining and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of service excellence is paramount. After completing a three week dealer training course, you would conduct and facilitate the table games by providing rules of the game to participants, according to established requirements. You would also be required to be cognizant of the security of the game being played and notify appropriate member of Table Games Management of any irregularities and or attempts to cheat while the game is being played.

Qualifications: Following an interview, successful candidates will be required to take a paid three week table’s games dealer course. The course will take place in the evenings. Upon completion of the three week course you would be required to successfully pass a table games test.  Must be 19 years of age or older in order to work in the Casino.

Competencies

  • Able to calculate odds quickly and accurately to pay winning bets and collect loosing bets
  • Able to determine the appropriate chip denominations for cash received.

Hotel Guest Service Agent - Relief

Job: Hotel Guest Service Agent/Night Audit/Casino Guest Service – Relief

Job Purpose: In a highly professional and courteous manner you would be responsible for managing the check in process, the stay and check out process, as well as taking room reservations over the phone or in person. When taking room reservations you would be required to use a computer based reservations system. The Guest Service Agent provides information on the Resort, including Resort amenities, room amenities and services, available room rates and packages as well as information on the surrounding area. You would be required to deal with guest concerns or issues or questions in a highly professional manner. You would perform basic accounting functions in regards to the guest’s folio, such as posting verifying and cash transactions. When working as the Night Auditor you would verify and balance daily charges for all departments to customer folios, master accounts and house accounts and makes corrections as necessary and perform cash reconciliation duties. You would verify accuracy of all postings and calculations then run computer to reset for the next day. When working in the Casino you would be responsible for performing basic office functions such as; answering interoffice, local and long distance calls in a courteous manner; answering customer inquiries with respect and courtesy and direct calls to appropriate personnel and departments; making various promotional announcements using a public address system; responsible for processing Player’s Club applications accurately and entering Player’s Club information into the computer accurately and in a timely manner as well as the sale and redemption of lottery tickets.

Night Auditor - Part-Time

Job: Part Time Night Auditor         Sat/Sun 11PM – 7AM

Job Purpose: This position Verifies and balances daily charges for all departments to customer folios, master accounts and house accounts perform daily cash reconciliation and makes corrections as necessary. You would ensure that appropriate support documentation is obtained and attached and balance departments against daily summaries and review all credit cards and vouchers and ensure they are posted correctly. After verifying the accuracy of all postings and calculations you would run the computer through nightly processing sequence to reset for the next day’s use in balancing of applicable functions. You would also be required to perform guest service agent functions such as checking guests in and out of the hotel, taking reservations and handling and managing wake up calls. It would also be necessary to be able to deal with guest concerns issues or questions in a highly professional manner.

Qualifications: Candidate must have Grade 12, prior front desk experience and accounting experience or an acceptable combination of related experience, education and or training. A related post-secondary diploma or certificate would be an asset.
