Banquet Bartender (Seasonal)

Job:        Banquet Bartender – Seasonal April to December

Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for serving guests in a friendly and courteous manner at events such as Weddings, meeting receptions, and cocktail parties. You will be responsible for setting up portable bars with the appropriate beverages. The bartender will take orders from guests and servers. You would ensure refreshment levels are maintained as required while adhering to “Serving It Right” policies. Part of your duties would be to respond to guest requests as required and keep guests satisfied throughout service, issue bill for services rendered and obtain appropriate documentation or cash necessary to ensure payment.

It would be required that you inform a supervisor of complaints and resolve situations speedily and in the best interests of the Resorts reputation. You will be responsible for the inventory control of all beverages under your care for the duration of the event. You will assist in any tear down and clean-up of the event

Qualifications

Candidates must have Grade 12 or have an acceptable combination of related experience, education and or training. The successful candidate will have experience providing excellent customer service and recent experience handling and balancing cash or monetary transactions. Preference may be given to candidates who possess bartending / serving experience.

Banquet Server (Seasonal)

Job: Seasonal Banquet Server April to December

Job Purpose:

Under the general supervision of the Banquet Supervisor or Food and Beverage Manager or Supervisor, the Banquet Server provides fast, efficient and friendly service ensuring the correct setup of rooms and the timely serving of any refreshments or meal breaks. A high level of cleanliness and organization of banquet rooms, registration areas and service area is required. You would be responsible for reporting any deficiencies in equipment or level of supplies to the Banquet Captain or outlets Manager or Supervisor. A high level of customer service is required with an ability to problem solve in order to meet last minute changes or requirements of any function and or handle guest concerns. You would also be responsible for the turnover or tear down and clean up after functions.

Qualifications: Must be 16 years or older. Must have or the ability to obtain a serving it Right Certificate, a Food Safe certificate would be considered an asset. Prior serving experience would be an advantage

Banquet Supervisor (Seasonal)

Job:     Seasonal Banquet Supervisor

Job Purpose: This is a working Supervisory position. The Banquet Supervisor oversees the daily functions, set ups and staff as required throughout the banquets department. Working closely with the Conference Service manager, Sales department and Food and Beverage Supervisors you would ensure that all function needs are met.

You would be required to resolve guest complaints within the scope of your authority; otherwise you would refer the matter to management. Attendance at weekly Banquet Event Order (BEO) meetings with sales, the kitchen and Food and Beverage Supervisors would be part of your duties. You would also be required to have a higher knowledge of the menu items including preparation and major ingredients as you many need to communicate additional meal requirements such as allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen, should guests have any dietary needs or questions.

This position would require you to ensure that a high level of cleanliness, organization of banquet rooms, registration areas and service areas is maintained.

Qualifications: A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience or an acceptable combination of related experience, education and/or training. A related Post-Secondary diploma or certificate would be an advantage. Must have or the ability to obtain a Serving it right and food safe certificate. Previous hotel, banquets, golf course or Casino experience would be an asset. Must be 19 years or older.

It would be necessary to make sure that anything required for the next meal period is stocked including making certain that glass ware and silverware is polished so that hard water stains are eliminated. Food and Beverage Host (Seasonal)

Job: Food & Beverage Seasonal Host(ess)

Job Purpose: Under the general supervision of the Supervisor/Manager, the primary focus of the Host(ess) is to greet guests of the dining room. You be required to support the Servers by assisting in the clearing and set up of tables, water and bread service and food and beverage delivery. This position also takes orders for room service, sets up room service trays and delivers it to the hotel room. You would also ensure that the guest is thoroughly satisfied with their food, beverage, service and atmosphere each time they visit. If a situation needs to be dealt with it must be done with discretion and tact with an understanding of when it is appropriate to call on a manager for assistance. Greeting of guests and telephone etiquette would be at the highest standards at all times

Qualifications

Must be a minimum of 16 years old and have or have the ability to obtain a Food Safe and Serving it Right Certificate. Previous hosting experience would be an advantage.

Golf Course Maintenance Workers (Seasonal)

Job:   Golf Course Maintenance Workers Seasonal Position         

Job Purpose: Duties include, but are not limited to general mowing with walk behind mowers, bunker maintenance, application of products, use of ride-on mowing equipment, and any other related duties to maintain a golf course to the highest standard for the Resorts valued customers. You would also work on the maintenance and repair of irrigation and drainage systems.

Qualifications: Must have a valid BC drivers or learners licence in good standing in order to operate equipment. Prior experience or on a golf course or in grounds keeping would be considered an advantage.

Job Purpose: You be required to support the Servers by assisting in the clearing and set up of tables, water service and food and beverage delivery. Assist with light duty cleaning in the restaurant as well as occasional washing of dishes and glassware. You would also ensure that the guest is thoroughly satisfied with their food, beverage, service and atmosphere each time they visit. If a situation needs to be dealt with it must be done with discretion and tact with an understanding of when it is appropriate to call on a manager for assistance.

Irrigation Technician

Job:    Irrigation Technician

Job Purpose: The Irrigation Technician reports directly to the Manager, Golf/Resort Operations. Under his or her supervision, the irrigation technician participates in the maintenance and operations of the irrigation system; including all repairs and maintenance, and related work as required.
